# GitOps Structure ### deployments deployments folder contains all app deployments. It's structure is: `deployments////` Where: team - team who owns the application. application - name of the application. cluster - cluster to which the application is deployed (currently dev and prod) environment - environment of the application to deploy Application versions are updated automatically by CI, but can be updated manually in the repo as well. #### application configuration In each application folder there is a file with common configuration values applied to all environments: `deployments///values.yaml` And in environment folder there is a configuration file for adding options specific for that environment and overriding option from common configuration: `deployments/////values.yaml` #### adding and removing applications To add a new application add a new `` folder and only `` and `` folder you wish to deploy and add `values.yaml` file to those folders. The same way, when you want to deploy a new environment simply add the `` folder with the `values.yaml` file. It has to be present, even if empty. To remove the application, remove the `` folder you want to remove, or the whole application folder if removing the application fully. ### prometheus-rules/ The repository with developer alerts. It's currently used, but is deprecated and will be updated in the future. ### resources/ Used for provisioning all resources applications need to run, like secrets and config maps. It's structure is: `resources//` And for an environment, all resources are provisioned under the same folder.
